The Clinician Behind the Practice
I have been in medicine for over 20 years, more than 17 of those as a practicing PA. My clinical background spans Family Medicine, Dermatology, Women's Health, Occupational Medicine, and Urgent Care. That diverse clinical experience shaped me into a clinician who brings both evidence based medicine and the depth of root cause investigation to every patient encounter, and it forms the foundation of everything I do at Adelaida Integrative Health Care.
I began studying Functional Medicine over five years ago, and my own personal health journey is what led me there. Being in the patient's seat for the first time deepened how I see medicine and how I practice it. I am certified through SAFM, have completed all IFM Advanced Practice Modules, and hold certification through the IBD Academy. I invest in my ongoing education consistently because medicine evolves, and so do I.
For the majority of my career I have worked alongside community health clinics, serving patients across a wide range of backgrounds and needs. Every single patient encounter has shaped the clinician I am today.
I firmly believe that Conventional Medicine and Functional Medicine are not opposing forces, they are complementary ones. The best outcomes can happen when both are honored. That belief is why I founded Adelaida Integrative Health Care, and it is the philosophy behind every decision I make in practice.
